It’s Wednesday, HumpDay, the perfect day to start planning your weekend! if you haven’t yet made plans, we’ve got you covered! Whether you check out the blue moon from Blue Moon, head to Testify for their relaunch in their new venue at CC Slaughter’s, dance with who you want to at Crush's Queer Prom,* or celebrate the last weekend of Women’s History Month by screening “Dolores” at the Clinton Street Theater you’ll find plenty to do this weekend!

Chanteuse Tease: a Sing & Strip Showcase

Bringing vocals to the vibrant world of burlesque, Chanteuse Tease will feature burlesque performers singing and stripteasing their way into your ears and hearts. Hosted by Zora Phoenix, a songbird herself, the cast will show off their multi-faceted talents! Featuring La Scivious LenoreUna SolitaireHezzy TayteLayne FawkesDee Dee Pepper and many more, with producer and emcee Zora Phoenix. Tickets begin at $15 for general admission. Friday Tasting with Patton Valley Vineyard

Friday, March 30th from 5 PM to 8 PM

Hosted by Mom & Pop Wine Shop

Cozy, intimate, wine shop, located in Rose City Park, just above the Hollywood District. Owners Telina and Dan love to sheir their knowledge of wine. Their mission is to source approachable, affordable, delicious wines for both the inexperienced and serious lovers of wine. They are excited to welcome Patton Valley Vineyard to the wine shop this week, as they have shown a few of their wines over the course of our Friday tastings, and they've always been favorites. This is their first solo tasting with Dan and Telina.

As usual, you'll find no better value than the $5 entry fee! Four expertly chosen wines are sampled, and delicious snacks are served. Local artists display their wares, for a true PNW experience.

Portland Lumberjacks vs. Clark County Chiefs

Saturday, March 31st from 2 PM to 4 PM

Hosted by Portland Lumberjacks RFC at Northgate City Park

Come out in support of Portland's only inclusive rugby team. If you're late to catch the fever, hurry up! The team is preparing for a tournament in Amsterdam, this coming June. It's a big one: they're competeing for the Bingham Cup, named after Mark Bingham, an out gay man and rugby player who died trying to save others on United Airlines Flight 93. Pay attention to PQ as we will be running stories on the team's upcoming fundraising events, matches, and their June trip to the Netherlands. 

An added bonus: the team doesn not wear protective headgear or supportive undergarments. But, don't let that be the only reason you go! 

Queer Prom

Queer Prom at Crush Bar! Whether you went in high school or didn't, whether you were out or not... adult proms are way better! Join us for our Queer Prom! Theme: Starry, Starry Night. Tickets start at $10, a $15 ticket includes a queer corsage! Tunes (including slow jams!) by DJ Aurora. Check out Queer Prom for ticket availabilty and info. 

Get into wear that prom dress or tux you always wanted to wear, but were told you couldn't! Dance with who you were told you couldn't dance with at Queer Prom.  

Dolores Screening at Clinton St. Theater

Friday, March 30th from 7 PM to 9:30 PM
Hosted by People's Food Co-op and the Clinton Street Theater

Join People's Food Co-op,, the Clinton Street Theater, and PCUN (Oregon's Farmworker Union) for a screening of Dolores, a documentary chronicling the life and impact of farmworker rights advocate Dolores Huerta, in celebration of Farmworker Awareness Week. Raising 11 children while wrestling with gender bias, union defeat and victory, and nearly dying after a San Francisco Police beating, Dolores Huerta bucked 1950s gender conventions to co-found the country's first farmworkers union. We'll be joined by farmworkers from PCUN for a panel discussion after the film. $5-15 suggested donation, though no one will be turned away for lack of funds. Proceeds will be donated to PCUN to support their critical work. Buy tickets online or pay at the door.

Featuring creative performances by Bolivia Carmichaels, HoneyBea Hart & Isaiah Esquire, and also featuring weekly guest acts, local and touring. VIP Screening of "Unicorn"

CC Slaughters Portland is featured in a new short film by gay film-maker Devin Tau. Shot on location in January of this year, the film is to be entered into film festivals and is expected to strike interest in the community, both locally and around the world. Slaughter’s would like to invite you to a special VIP screening in the Rainbow Room Lounge at CC Slaughters on March 31st at 4pm. Mingle with the cast & crew. Meet the director. Enjoy specialty Unicorn cocktails. Proceeds of Jell-O shots to benefit Cascades AIDS Project. No cover, but 21+ to enter.

Testify - Drag Brunch

Celebrate Easter Sunday with the ladies of Testify! Join them in their new home, every Sunday at 11am for brunch and a show! Testify is hosted by Alexis Campbell Starr and featuring Miss Behavin and Sativa GodDAMN Jones. CC Slaughters Portland is preparing a delicious rotating buffet-style brunch menu for the Sunday show!
