Make mischief for a good cause May 4 at the 2013 annual Red Dress Party, featuring DJ Nina Flowers, DJ Jakob Jay, DJ Taco Tuesday and DJ Bruce LaBruiser, as well as VIP performances by Love Bomb Go-Go Marching Band, Burlesquire, Blake Hicks, Blazer, Nonsense Dance Company, Jon Dutch, Bomb Ass Pussy, and Peach. (New to Red Dress? Check out Daniel Borgen's primer from 2012 here.) Organizers anticipate more than 1,500 attendees (decked in their requisite red gowns) will come out to raise funds for Quest Center for Integrative Health and Morrison Child & Family Services. Each year, the Red Dress PDX board selects non-profits that support people affected by HIV/AIDS. In 2012, Red Dress PDX raised $15,000 for beneficiaries Our House, Cascade AIDS Project -- Kids Connection, and the Quest Center. “This is the thirteenth year for RDP and although thirteen maybe an unlucky number for many, it’s proving to be quite lucky for RDP. With the triple threat Nina Flowers as the main DJ and locating a new space in SE Portland, the party looks to be on a roll. There’s no stopping the guilty pleasures of Portland’s best party of the year," says Red Dress Board Member Miles Bennette-Eaton in a release. The party of the year starts with a VIP reception at 8 p.m. followed by  the main event at 9 p.m. Food and beverages (including) special red cocktails will be on hand to fuel a night filled with dancing on both floors of the AudioCinema Building (226 SE Madison St.). Don't want to drive? Shuttle buses will run between the event venue and The Jupiter Hotel (offering special rates for Red Dress attendees), Starkey’s, Crush, and Scandals starting at 7:45 p.m. and running every 45 minutes or so until the party's end.  Shuttle passes are $7 and can be purchased with Red Dress Party tickets or on site.
